A Delicious San Francisco Classic
I've been coming here for about five years, and every time I've eaten the food, it's still delicious. The service is great, the space is clean, and the ambience is pretty. I love the simple decor. This is truly a great classic in San Francisco. Today, I had General Tso's chicken, sesame beef, and egg fried rice; all three dishes were delicious. I highly recommend coming here.

Disappointing Experience, Burned Food
I went based on the reviews, but it was a total disappointment. I ordered some empanadas and they were burned. The rice was like paste and tasteless. The shrimp were super sweet and oily. The only thing that was saved was the waitress, who was very attentive. I will not return.

Favorite Hot and Sour Soup!
My experience at this restaurant was centered around their hot and sour soup. I was on a quest to find the best in the city, having tried several options. This soup is my absolute favorite! The broth is yummy, it has fun, funky mushrooms, and a great ratio of ingredients to broth.

Eric's: Consistently Excellent Chinese Cuisine
I've been a loyal customer at Eric's since it first opened in the early '90s. It's the benchmark by which I measure all other neighborhood Chinese restaurants, and very few have come close. The General Cho's Chicken is by far my favorite I've ever had, and the Szechuan Beef is equally exceptional. This is truly one of my all-time favorite Chinese restaurants. I also highly recommend the Hoisin String Beans and Eric's Spicy Eggplant, both of which are quite good. The Crab Rangoon and Pork Potstickers are also favorites, and the Green Onion Pancakes are excellent. Honestly, I've never had anything less than a fantastic meal here. Please note, the pricing mentioned reflects a meal for two children without beverages.
