Amazing Birthday Surprise!
My experience at Doppio Zero was exceptional. I called ahead to let them know it was my wife's birthday and that she loves their Margherita pizza 🍕. When I arrived, the staff immediately wished her a happy birthday and offered the meal on the house. It was a wonderful gesture that made the celebration even more special. I highly recommend Doppio Zero for their outstanding service and delicious food.

Disappointing Pizza and Service
We walked in without a reservation, and the host asked if we could finish within an hour, which we agreed to. The food arrived in less than 10 minutes. We ordered pasta and a Margherita pizza. The pasta was fine, but the pizza was terrible. When I mentioned it, the manager tried to explain that it was “just how it’s made, ” though only somewhat professionally. I also needed new silverware since mine had leftovers on it, but no one came by even once to check on us. The manager eventually took the pizza off the bill, which I hadn’t asked for, and when I didn’t leave a tip, his facial expression said everything about the kind of “professionalism” this place has.

Excellent Food, Terrible Service
My experience at this restaurant was a tale of two halves. The food was truly excellent, a definite highlight. However, the service was absolutely terrible. It was one of the few times I've left without tipping because there was simply no service to tip for. From the moment we were seated, the waitress's tone was off, and her attitude was unpleasant when taking our order. We ended up being served by multiple different servers, and had to flag down random people for assistance. Our request for water, made initially, took 40 minutes and three separate requests to random servers before it was finally brought to us at the very end. This level of service is unacceptable. To get the check, we again had to flag someone down, and after another 15 minutes, we had to go to the host stand to pay. It felt like we could have honestly just left without paying, as the staff seemed indifferent. Even paying at the host stand was a struggle. While the food was excellent, I cannot recommend dining in. I suggest ordering food out instead. It's disappointing this was recommended by friends, and we will certainly not be extending the same recommendation.

Inconsistent Service, Delicious Food
My friends recommended this restaurant, and we decided to try it when we stumbled upon it while walking. We were seated outside, and initially, it was quiet with only a couple of other parties. The waitress was quick to greet us, asking about our drink preference almost immediately. While we initially appreciated the casual approach, it soon became clear that the service was disjointed. Plates and glasses were brought by a busser, water was poured by one server, wine by another, and food by a food runner. A bug landed in my partner's glass, and although we requested a new one and more water, we only received the glass, not the water. We noticed other tables on the patio receiving water, but we did not. After the food was delivered, there was a 15-minute period of no attention. I eventually had to flag down a different server for a box, water, and the check. He brought the box and water but still no check, even after I asked again. After another five minutes, I went inside to pay with a random server. The lack of consistent attention left us feeling quite neglected for extended periods. Despite the service issues, the food itself was excellent, earning a perfect score.
