Ambience (4.2 out of 10)

mentioned by 35% of the guests

When it comes to the vibe, many guests appreciate the atmosphere, especially the outdoor seating and outside patio which even features netting to deter seagulls. Some enjoyed a pleasant smell and noted good wheelchair accessibility, calling it the best dining in the park. These positive sentiments appear in 16 reviews out of 50 total observations.

However, the overall score for ambience is an average 4.2, and customer satisfaction is a rather poor 32%. This is largely due to numerous complaints about restaurant cleanliness, including a putrid odor, dirty condiments bar, and unsanitary utensil station. Many also found the seating uncomfortable, often packed, with a lack of shade and even issues with the AC, as noted in 31 negative opinions.

Value (2.7 out of 10)

mentioned by 48% of the guests

It seems that finding good value here is a bit of a treasure hunt, with a score of 2.7 indicating a generally poor experience. While customer satisfaction sits at a low 8.9% (based on 6 positive remarks out of 67 total), some guests did find ways to save. A few folks mentioned getting a 10% discount with an annual pass or that food bracelets could be worth it.

Others found the all day dining deal or Groupon to offer better value compared to other park options. However, the overwhelming sentiment, with 53 negative remarks, points to significant issues. Many felt the food was simply overpriced and portions were a small meal, leading to feelings of a money grab or even a scam.

The dining deal often disappointed, with costs adding up quickly and not delivering expected value for money.

Disappointing Experience: Bland Food, Dirty Environment
My experience at this restaurant was quite disappointing. The trays were disgusting and the tables were dirty, which immediately set a negative tone. The chicken was bland and tasteless, and the beans were cooked in sugar syrup, which was an unpleasant surprise. I would not recommend this place.

Standard Theme Park Fare with High Prices
My experience at this restaurant in SeaWorld was a mixed bag. While it might be the best option within the park, that's not a high bar. The ribs were standard, but tasty and tender. The fries were also good. However, the prices are outrageous, making the all-day dining deal the only worthwhile option. On the positive side, the checkout process was efficient due to the cafeteria-style line, allowing for a quick grab-and-go. The staff were friendly.

Menu Confusion and Service Issues
My experience at this restaurant was marked by significant confusion regarding the menu and repeated issues with service. I was surprised by how many food items were not on the menu. For instance, the garden salad listed as a side for $6. 99 was actually a Caesar salad with lettuce, cheese, and croutons, not a typical garden salad with cucumbers, tomato, and onion. There was also a grilled chicken salad on the menu for $17. 99, but then I saw an actual garden salad, a tri-tip salad, and another salad whose identity and price were unknown, as staff couldn't provide information. This lack of clarity was frustrating. Furthermore, over the last three visits, I've had to repeatedly ask staff for forks and salad dressing. Today, despite three employees in light blue shirts cleaning tables, none restocked utensils or condiments. When I mentioned I had already asked inside for dressing and was told it was outside, I was then directed back inside, requiring me to navigate with a cane, carry a tray, balance a drink, and supervise my son with special needs, all to ask the cashier again for dressing. This was a significant inconvenience. On a different note, I observed that the entrance doors lack fans while the exit doors have them, which seems to allow bugs to enter easily. 🤣🤣 It feels like the management doesn't care about making simple improvements. The food itself, being pre-made and left in a hot box, tasted like a 2-star experience. Honestly, most food places at SeaWorld San Diego don't even deserve a 1-star; it's the worst park food I've encountered in my years of visiting many parks regularly. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Salty Tri-Tip Ruined Meal
Today, my experience at the restaurant involved ordering the chicken leg quarter and tri-tip plates. The portion sizes were good. However, the tri-tip was extremely salty, to the point where I couldn't eat it.
