Great Mumbai Cuisine in Queen Anne
My experience at this restaurant was quite positive. I absolutely loved the vada pav, and while I'm not from Mumbai, I found it to be significantly better than other vada pav I've tried. The chai came with 2 Parle G biscuits, which was a nice touch. The restaurant has low-key Queen Anne quiet vibes and offers great Mumbai cuisine. I also appreciated the menu art and the overall theme of the restaurant. We also tried the Malai Kofta, which was good but had a slight aftertaste that was a bit strong for my palate. The Garlic naan was good too! Overall, it's a solid option for the Queen Anne/Downtown area.

Disappointing Service, Great Food
My boyfriend and I regularly order takeout from this place after our other main spot closed down. We checked their hours and saw we had another hour to order, choosing the option to pick up our takeout 45 minutes before their closing time. Upon heading to retrieve our carryout, we were 10 minutes late but still 20 minutes before their scheduled closing time and pickup option. I received 6 missed calls from the establishment stating they were closing and to come pick up our takeout. I answered the first call and let them know we were up the street. Upon arriving, the man stated they were mopping and to order earlier next time. Noted, when we got our takeout, even though we were 10 minutes late, it was still well within the option of pick-up times on their website. Will not be ordering from them again.

Disappointing Takeout Experience
My experience ordering takeout, including butter chicken, garlic and herb flatbread, and a mango lassi, was just okay. The total cost was around $40. The chicken breast pieces in the butter chicken were very chewy, and the sauce was overly tomato-forward, lacking the spices and depth of flavor I've come to expect. The accompanying basmati rice was tasty and not dry. I enjoyed the strong garlic flavor in the flatbread, though I prefer it slightly crispier. It was disappointing that the flatbread had to be ordered separately, as other restaurants usually include it. The mango lassi was delicious and is something I would reorder. Overall, for a first experience, I was left a little disappointed, especially considering the higher prices.
