Ugly Mug Cafe: Best White Mocha!
Recently, I moved to Seattle and have been looking for a local coffee shop that is both good and cheap: Ugly Mug Cafe. While I have not tried their food—pastries, muffins, and other baked goods—I can attest to the coffee! The white mocha is probably the best one that I have had so far :) I went with a friend, that’s visiting me, a few days ago and she got something else but said it was the best one since visiting Seattle.
I love the tackiness of the decorations and environment, if that makes sense. The price is so so good for the quality of what you get, I love this place!

My experience at this restaurant was disappointing, primarily due to the Bananacream Hojicha drink and the service I received. While I had high hopes, the Bananacream part of the drink was good, but the hojicha tasted bad and was super gritty. To make matters worse, the staff member who gave me the drink completely ignored me when I said thank you. As a fellow service worker, I understand not expecting cheerfulness, but being outright ignored is not acceptable. She turned around and continued talking to a friend/customer, which was strange.
I'm giving 4 stars because I generally love this place, but the drink and service today were a bummer.
