If you're looking for a place where your money goes far, this is it. You can confidently expect great value without breaking the bank, making it an easy recommendation for budget-conscious diners.

How are the prices at Marmalade?

You’re looking at roughly 8 per person – reported by 43 diners. That puts it in the $1–$10 category. For a Cafe, it’s comfortably mid-range: not a steal, but not bank-breaking either.

Most guests, about 35 of them, stick to that lower $1–$10 price point. A few, 7 to be exact, spend a bit more in the $11–$20 range, and just one person went up to $21–$30. So, while the average is low, there’s a slight spread for those who might order a bit extra.

Here’s a quick look at what guests spend per person, based on the latest 43 reviews.

See how this Cafe’s value for money stacks up against similar spots in Seattle.

Overall, we think the pricing here feels quite fair for a Cafe, especially considering most people are spending in that budget-friendly $1–$10 range. It’s a solid spot for an affordable bite or coffee.

Great Vanilla Gelato, Limited Options
My experience at this restaurant was centered around their gelato. I opted for the plain vanilla, and despite its simplicity, I was thoroughly impressed. The vanilla flavor was exceptionally strong, far exceeding what I'd expect from typical vanilla ice cream or gelato. The texture was also a highlight, maintaining a pleasing thickness and a very nice creaminess throughout. The primary drawback was the lack of appealing flavors. I had to choose vanilla by default due to an allergy to pistachio and a lack of interest in the fruit/tea options. If they offered an online menu of available flavors, I would be more inclined to return if I saw something that caught my eye. Overall, this is genuinely good gelato that I can appreciate, even with its relatively plain flavor profile. I rate it an 8/10.

Closed Despite Hours Listed
I was really excited to try their ice cream because it has wonderful reviews. However, it was closed on Sunday, the 12th, at 3: 30 PM, despite the hours being listed as open on Google Maps and even on their Instagram. I will try again on a different occasion.

Delicious Gelato, Worth the Trip
My experience at this restaurant was quite positive. The owner is a neat guy, and the Gelato was delicious. While they currently have minimal indoor seating, the chai Gelato alone is worth the trip. They also offer a couple of dairy-free options, such as mango.

Charming Ice Cream Shop with Rich Chocolate
My experience at this cute, quaint ice cream shop in Fremont was generally positive. The chocolate ice cream was nice and rich, a definite highlight. However, I found the sorbets to be a little soft, perhaps not cold enough or needing a slightly different temperature setting compared to the ice cream. Despite this minor point, it's a solid product, and I would return. The staff were welcoming and pleasant, contributing to a good atmosphere.
