Delicious Pastrami Sandwich!
My experience at the restaurant was centered around their pastrami sandwich. It arrived toasted with all the fixings. The sandwich itself was good tasting, moist, and warm. The bread was also nicely toasted, and they were generous with the meat, they didn't skimp on the meat.

Disappointing Sandwiches, Soggy Mess
I have tried 5 or 6 different sandwiches now, and pretty much they have all been pretty bad. Today I tried the BLT, and I'm baffled as to how one can mess up a BLT. It was just a soggy mess on stale bread. This place is now on my "I'll pass" list.

Embarcadero Center Deli Gem!
I was looking for something new to try when I got hungry, so I asked my colleague for a recommendation. She suggested 5th Avenue Deli & Market, a small, hidden gem tucked away in the Embarcadero Center near the corner of Clay and Drumm streets. They offer a large selection of sandwiches, non-alcoholic drinks, and chips to accompany their creations. Since I'm not a picky eater, I asked the friendly cashier what their most popular sandwich was. Without hesitation, he declared, "SanFranPsycho! " This sandwich features honey turkey, bacon, Gouda cheese, garlic butter, pesto, and Cajun mayo, all piled high on your choice of bread. I went with sourdough, gutted out and toasted with everything. While 5th Avenue has no indoor seating available, there are benches outside in the Embarcadero Center. I took it back to the office, and with the first bite, I was in love! The sandwich was perfect - the bread was fresh and perfectly toasted, the flavors exploded in my mouth, and it was incredibly filling. I'm officially a fan! If you work nearby and have a sandwich craving, check out 5th Avenue Deli & Market. This is one sandwich experience you won't regret!

Delicious Sandwiches, Friendly Staff!
My experience at this restaurant was fantastic! The sandwiches were SO good, and I particularly enjoyed the 'Goodfella'. They offer a quick service with tons of drink and chip options to go. The staff was super friendly. While there's no place to sit and eat inside, there's plenty of outdoor seating available in the plaza.

Consistently Amazing Sandwiches!
My experience at this restaurant has been consistently wonderful. We've visited 10 to 20 times, and every single time, the experience is the exact same, which is a fantastic thing. In a city with very tough competition, these sandwiches are absolutely out of this world. I want to give a special shout out to the San Franpsycho on Dutch crunch. Whenever we have friends in town staying in FiDi, this is always the recommendation. It will never steer you wrong.
