Out of 30 comments, 6 positive remarks noted that you can enjoy an upscale Peruvian experience without the price, with many appreciating fair prices for the quality and good value during happy hours. However, the overall score for value is an average 4, largely due to the 24 negative comments.

Many felt the restaurant was pricey and expensive, with some dishes not feeling appropriately priced. Additional fees like a healthy fee and gratuity for larger groups, plus the inability to use American Express cards, also contributed to a feeling of being overcharged.

Exceptional Peruvian Gem with Great Access
My experience at Mochica was exceptional. This Peruvian restaurant in San Francisco offers a dining experience that is both warm and refined. The food is truly outstanding, with each dish bursting with authentic flavors. I particularly enjoyed the perfectly seasoned ceviche and the tender lomo saltado, both cooked with precision. The freshness of the ingredients and the thoughtful presentation showcased real culinary craftsmanship. The service was equally impressive; the staff were attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable about the menu, and quick to offer great recommendations. I felt genuine hospitality from the moment I walked in. In terms of convenience, access and parking were relatively easy compared to other popular city spots, with nearby street parking and paid lots making the visit stress-free. Overall, Mochica is a perfect blend of delicious food, gracious service, and hassle-free access, making it an ideal spot for both casual dinners and special occasions.

Excellent Peruvian Food and Service
My experience at this restaurant was fantastic! The Peruvian cuisine was perfect, served in a cozy setting. The service was very attentive. A highlight was the Pork Belly skewers. We also enjoyed the ahi ginger ceviche and yucca fries. For drinks, we had a Pisco cocktail and a mezcal tamarind concoction. I highly recommend this place!

Where's the Chicken?
My experience at this restaurant was disappointing. I ordered chicken and waffles, but the chicken was barely present. It felt like I received "waffles with a hint of chicken"! This is ridiculous.
