How are the prices at Genki Ramen?

You’re looking at roughly 17 $ per person – reported by 5 diners. That puts it in the $11–$20 category. For a Ramen Restaurant, it’s comfortably mid-range: not a steal, but not bank-breaking either.

While the average sits here, the prices reported actually spread out a bit, from some budget-friendly options in the $1–$10 range to a few higher-end choices up to 30 $. Since we only have 5 reviews, this is a good indication, but keep in mind the data is still a bit limited.

Here’s a quick look at what guests spend per person, based on the latest 5 reviews. While the data is limited, it gives a good indication of the typical spend.

See how this restaurant’s value for money stacks up against similar spots in San Francisco.

We think the pricing feels quite fair for a Ramen Restaurant in San Francisco. It seems to hit that sweet spot of being accessible yet offering good value. We’d recommend checking it out for a satisfying meal.

Tasty Pork Belly, But Small Portions
I visited a hole-in-the-wall restaurant with ambience and moody lighting, hidden behind a medieval-looking door. It often appeared closed, but I finally decided to try it for takeout. Inside, beautiful hanging lights and plants created a cozy atmosphere. The restaurant was quite empty, with only one other customer leaving as I arrived. I ordered the Chashu Braised Pork Belly, the first item on the menu. The cashier mentioned that it used to be busier before the pandemic, but their barbecue setup required special tables, and the small storefront next to a parking lot limits outdoor seating options. My order, which cost over $8, arrived in a paper bag that felt a bit light. Upon opening it at home, I found three pieces of pork belly in a small aluminum container, topped with arugula. While the pork belly was very tender and melted in my mouth, I was underwhelmed by the portion size, especially considering it's a cheaper cut of pork. Each piece was roughly the size of two Chapstick containers side-by-side. Despite the delicious taste and filling nature of the protein and fat, I expected more for the price. The service was excellent, and the food was delicious, but the value for money was questionable. Based on other reviews, their ramen is likely fantastic. I wanted to give five stars, but my experience warrants four.

Great Veggie Ramen & Cheap Drinks
My experience at this restaurant was surprisingly positive, despite its unassuming appearance. I had a really good veggie ramen with tofu, which was delicious. The drinks were super cheap, offering great value. Although the place looked quiet, almost closed, it was definitely worth going in. I'd recommend it for the food and drinks.
