Online Ordering Issues Mar Decent Food
My experience with this restaurant was primarily centered around their online ordering system, which proved to be quite problematic. After placing my order, it remained unconfirmed for 13 minutes. I decided to visit the restaurant in person, only to find it nearly empty with no other orders waiting. The app indicated a 30-minute wait, but upon arrival, I inquired about the status of my order. There was confusion, and they claimed it was being prepared for a later pickup, despite me ordering for ASAP. This lack of coordination with their ordering app is a significant issue. I would advise against using the app for to-go orders and suggest calling instead, if they even accept phone orders. The parking situation is also difficult, which might explain the failure of previous establishments at this location. While the food itself seemed fine, with the butter naan lacking flavor and being flat, the overall experience was negatively impacted by the ordering and parking challenges. My review is based solely on the online ordering experience, as I did not dine in.

Excellent Food and Friendly Service
My first dinner experience at Sherpa House in SF was very good, and my family loved it. The waitress was very friendly and offered excellent dish recommendations, all of which were good. We appreciated her diligence in checking with the kitchen about our peanut allergy, ensuring our safety. The Everest Wings were a must-try, though a bit spicy. We also enjoyed the dumpling mono platter, which was very good. It was perfect for us as I liked the chicken, my kids liked the pork, and my wife liked the veggies. The Kukhura bhanta chicken and eggplant was also very good – not greasy and very tasty, served with rice. The pork ribs came with plain naan; while the naan was good, the ribs lacked flavor and were a bit chewy, though we finished them. For dessert, the mango ice cream was very good and a hit with the kids. The Laimohan was okay, a bit too sweet. The owner, Ned, recommended the rice pudding (kheer), which was saffron-flavored and made with condensed milk – wow, very good and highly recommended. Ned's attentiveness in visiting tables to ensure guests were enjoying their food was commendable.
