Dated Decor, Delicious Food
My experience at this restaurant was a mix of old and new. The restaurant itself is very dated in its appearance. However, the service was nice and friendly. The timing for food took a while, but I was pleasantly surprised at how good the food tasted. Overall, it was a decent experience.

Tasteless, Cold Food and Unpleasant Atmosphere
My experience at this restaurant was quite disappointing. The food was tasteless and served cold. The soup was chunky and thick, and the overall taste of the food was reminiscent of canned products. Even the soda tasted flat. Adding to the unpleasantness, the entire place smelt like a haunted house, which made me concerned about food poisoning. On a positive note, the workers were nice. However, I would strongly advise against coming here for Italian food.

Mixed Bag: Decent Food, Service, but Flawed Ambiance
I recently attended a company party where we rented out the entire restaurant. Overall, it was a pretty nice experience, though not without its drawbacks. The food was okay, but the portions were a bit small. While prepared well, it lacked imagination and variety, preventing a five-star rating. Oddly, basic condiments like salt, pepper, and sauces seemed to be missing. The table presentation had room for improvement, despite the tables themselves being prepared well. For a small restaurant, they did a decent job, placing it slightly above average. I'd rate it a 3. 5 or 3. 7, but ended up giving it a 4. The open bar was a definite plus. The wine selection wasn't extensive, but the wine I had was good. The hard spirits selection was limited, with specific varieties unavailable, opting for a general selection. Despite this, everyone managed to get a drink they wanted. There was ample space for our group and more. Parking might be challenging at lunchtime but is good after dinner. The restaurant's location in a recessed pedestrian cul-de-sac offers some privacy. Food preparation took a long time, which is understandable for about 40 people. However, my medium-rare dish took two hours and was cold by the time I ate it. The decor is very old-timey, a mix of 50s and late Victorian, reminiscent of Scarface but with painted plaster. Some overhead decorations looked precariously placed. Despite the decor, the caterers and bartender provided pretty good service. The bartender was expedient and accommodating, even when busy. The bathrooms, located near the bar, were disappointing. I'd rate their cleanliness a 2. 5 out of 5, with noticeable odors suggesting they hadn't been cleaned recently. It felt more like a dive bar than a place aiming for a high-class effect. All in all, I'd give this place an average to slightly above average rating, primarily due to the customer service.
