My experience at this restaurant was overwhelmingly positive, despite the significant noise level. The service was amazing, and the food was even more so. My wife and I believe we've found our favorite spot for steak whenever we visit San Francisco. I would recommend avoiding visits after 7 PM, as this is when the restaurant starts to fill up and the noise level consistently increases, making it hard to have a normal conversation.

I suggested Mastro's to my colleagues for a celebratory travel meal, having raved about other locations. Unfortunately, the experience turned sour. We waited over an hour for our food. When it arrived, my medium filet was cold and raw on the inside, and the creamed spinach was lukewarm. I informed the kitchen staff about my undercooked filet, and it was returned broiled and impossible to chew. I've never been so disappointed in a meal before.

My experience at the restaurant was very positive. I was greeted and sat promptly upon arrival. Our servers, Tania and Monique, were busy behind the bar but made a great effort to attend to my party. The food was great and the drinks were enjoyed!

My experience at this restaurant was the worst dinner experience I’ve ever had. I waited for over 1. 5 hours for my food. The crab cakes were dry and disgusting, and didn’t taste like real crab. The broccolini was served cold. To make matters worse, some of our other side dish orders were incorrect. When we attempted to speak with the manager as we were leaving, she ran away. While the server was extremely kind, everything else about the meal was horrible. It felt like a prank due to how bad it was. I am going to bed hungry because the food was inedible.

My experience at this restaurant was marked by a modern atmosphere and great service from our server Daunte. However, the food was a bit slow to arrive. Overall, it was a good experience, but it was extremely expensive.

My first time dining here was a mixed experience. We received a call after making our reservation about a dress code, which we adhered to. However, upon arrival, we noticed the dress code wasn't enforced, as other diners were in casual attire. This was confusing. The food arrived quickly and was decent. Our server was good, though they mistakenly charged us for a second water bottle after we declined. The sides were rated as follows: creamed corn (7/10), creamed spinach (4/10), creamy garlic mashed potatoes (6/10), and bread (5/10, felt stale). The main courses were the New York strip steak (7/10) and the scallop dish (8/10), which was delicious. The Kansas City strip bone in (5/10) was significantly undercooked in the center. Considering the high price point, I wouldn't return due to the overall value and the inconsistencies experienced.

My husband and I had the pleasure of dining at Mastro's in San Francisco this past weekend. The entire experience was top notch! The atmosphere was elegant, upscale, and inviting. The service was outstanding - truly exceptional. Brian and his team of expert staff made us feel like royalty. They knew what a special occasion that evening was for us and they really pulled out all the stops. Every staff member we encountered was professional, friendly, and genuinely passionate about making the evening memorable. Our food was cooked to perfection! The steak and Chilean sea bass were phenomenal - even the sides were standouts - the lobster mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts - out of this world! Thank you to all of the wonderful Mastro's staff - Brian, Juan, Eric, and the rest of the team - you all are masters of your craft! We will most definitely be back!

I had a fantastic experience at Mastro’s Steakhouse in San Francisco. The fillet steak was cooked perfectly, tender, flavourful, and full of depth. It was served with crisp fries and a fresh salad. The service was attentive without being intrusive, and the atmosphere was elegant yet relaxed. Overall, an excellent dining experience that I’d happily recommend to anyone visiting the city.

My experience at this restaurant was quite disappointing. While the live music was enjoyable and the atmosphere was pleasant (rated 3/3), the service and food were severely lacking (rated 1/3 for both). I ordered oysters immediately, but they never arrived. After a 45-minute wait, I inquired about my food, and a steak that was overcooked was delivered shortly after. The manager acknowledged it wasn't cooked to my requested temperature. Although they kindly did not charge for the wine, I hope they can improve their service and food preparation. For amazing Thai food, I'd recommend Thonglor across the street.

My experience at Mastro's Steakhouse was incredible! Our server, Tania, was exceptionally nice and knowledgeable, and she was expertly supported by Alejandro and Xianna. They were all amazing – friendly, attentive, and ensured everything was perfect from start to finish. We began with raw oysters and crab cakes, both remarkably fresh and flavorful. For our main courses, the 8oz steak was cooked perfectly. We also enjoyed the gnocchi, lobster mashed potatoes, Brussels sprouts, and broccoli. While every dish was delicious, the lobster mash truly stood out as the star. To conclude the meal, the warm butter cake was absolutely heavenly – rich, buttery, and the ideal finish. The entire experience, from the food to the service, was top-notch. A huge thank you to Tania, Alejandro, and Xianna for making our night so memorable. We will definitely be back!
