Can You Freeze Buttermilk?

Always have leftover buttermilk when baking. Can it be frozen?

Yes, but if youíre a buttermilk drinker, youíll be disappointed. It is really only suitable for cooking and baking after itís been frozen. (Most people we know think it's really only suitable for cooking and baking before it's been frozen, too.)

One source we have suggests not freezing buttermilk for longer than three months.
