Comments: How many things these days promise something and then deliver much more? Not many, but the Herb Savor is one. It promises to let you keep herbs fresh for 3 weeks, and we've kept some in pristine condition for about 6. In fact, we been waiting for some herbs to wilt so we could write our review, and decided to stop waiting.
The Herb Savor is sized to fit inside most refrigerator doors. It keeps the ends of the herb stems in water, while the leaves are cool and dry and not bunched tightly together. The base can be refilled with water (we change it every week or so), and the herbs are held in a removable stainless steel basket inside a plastic shell that keeps them neatly gathered together and allows for easy washing.
The manufacturer says the Herb Savor works with all kinds of herbs, from softer, leafy varieties like parsley and cilantro to woody-stemmed herbs like rosemary and thyme, as well as asparagus.
You may balk at the price, but you'll be repaid again and again by not throwing out soggy or wilted herbs. If you use it, it will certainly pay for itself inside of a year.
