FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Ochef.com Launches Product Reviews for Countertop Appliances,
Unique reviews grid gives readers comprehensive information at a glance BRUNSWICK, Me; May 12, 2009 – After years of good intentions, Ochef.com has started daily reviews of kitchen products. Ochef already answers people's food and cooking questions each day and features a daily cookbook review. The product reviews will build on a proprietary ratings grid already used for reviewing cookbooks. "The review grid is an Internet-friendly, graphical way to instantly convey the most important information to readers without bombarding them with tons of text," says David Purcell, Ochef's editor. At a glance, you can instantly tell who makes the product, where it's manufactured, how much it costs, how well it works, how intuitive it is, how much space it takes up, whether it saves time, money and effort, and where you can get it online. It also allows us to show how "green" each new piece of cooking equipment is, Purcell says, a leading factor in more and more kitchen purchases. The reviews often have a few paragraphs of text, to highlight special features that can't be depicted graphically. For examples, click here for a representative product review and here for a sample cookbook review. Ochef.com has been answering people's food and cooking questions since 2001, and reviews new cookbooks, and now cooking utensils, gadgets, pots, pans, cutlery, and countertop appliances. Ochef.com is a division of Food News Service LLC, a privately held corporation, with editorial offices in Brunswick, Maine. Ochef currently receives about 1.25 million visitors each month.
