We toss 'em in the freezer to freeze them. We take 'em out of the freezer to thaw them. You're welcome.

Seriously, nuts don't require special treatment. You don't need to spread them out like berries on cookie sheets, freeze them, and then gently transfer them to freezer bags. If they come from the store in reasonably substantial plastic bags, we just put them in the freezer. We take some out when we need nuts, and they thaw in about five minutes.
